Celebrate Recovery: A Growing Global Ministry Offers Hope

October 11, 2011 By David Palmer

Then, with hands held high, the percussionist, barely visible behind his drum set, clicks his sticks, and the “World’s Most Dangerous Recovery Band,” through condo-sized speakers, fills the air with sound. Three thousand wildly cheering believers, many of them tattooed and some with pierced ears, noses and … [Read more...]

July 2, 2011 By David Palmer

James “Bear” Bearden’s mission in life, he says, is “to share God, Christ and recovery,” and his multiple tattoos, biker jacket and headband proclaim it. Quality Living Center Serves Recovering Addicts with its Tough, Resourceful and Low-cost Program

June 29, 2011 By David Palmer

Standing on the brink of the intersection of Roosevelt and Asher, a very rough Little Rock neighborhood, Dino Davis surveys with pride the treatment facility he has created on two acres of land to serve recovering addicts. Davis and his partner, Curtis Keith, fashioned the adobe-style Quality Living Center (QLC) out of an older building on the site, a motorcycle dealership/car restoration shop. There was also a house which the owner, Ronald Colding, donated. The Center, which was licensed by … [Read more...]
